So, I know it has been a while. Let me give you a quick update.
Baby is now a toddler. 20 months old with a growing vocabulary and limitless range of motion. He has been jumping with 2 feet since 16 months (which my co-worker is convinced is seriously noteworthy). More disruptive to my home, is his ability to climb and jump off anything over 1 foot high.
He is a semi-vegetarian. He refuses to eat any meat except ground turkey or beef concealed in some sort of sauce (preferably tomato). No chicken nuggets, no burgers, no fish, no shrimp. If it once moved at will, he will not eat it.
He loves his parent's bed. Every time his father is out of town, he wakes up every night to cry his way into the master bedroom. Then once there, he gives me a smile like "yeah --this is the life".
For some reason he will not say the number one. If you say one, he says two. If you say two, he says two, then laughs as if he knows how wrong he is.
He has a serious case of separation disorder that applies to all who enter his presence. If you enter the room and he likes you, then you cannot leave. If you do, all who are left behind will feel the wrath of King David.
When he cries he reminds me of the Lion from the Wizard of Oz. It's loud, starts off slow and ends dramatically.
He has a freakishly long attention span for his age. If he you get him started with blocks or with his water toys, you've got yourself 30 to 45 minutes.
Tall, healthy, happy and demanding - everything a 1 and 1/2 year old should be. By the way, the terrible two's really starts at 18 months. Nobody tells you that when you are childless (but they should).
-oh, and still not potty trained but that is a post for another day.
Here are a few pictures.
This week jumping with 2 feet next week driving a car!!!
