12 Weeks and 5 Days!

Today, I had a First Trimester Ultra-Screen/Instant Risk Assessment (IRA). It is a two part test consisting of a ultrasound and a blood test, which together allows the earliest possible risk assessment for Down syndrome (Trisomy 21), Trisomy 18, and Trisomy 13.

Our little one passed the ultrasound examination with flying colors. We should get the blood test results in a week but the Doctor believed that this little one will be just fine.

So without further ado, I would like to introduce Baby Hailey to all of you. He/She is so cute.

During the exam, Baby Hailey waved its hands to us, moved around a lot and even put its hand behind its head.
It is really early to tell but the Doctor is very sure of the sex. We will not tell you all until our next ultrasound.

Ha! You will have to tune in to see if we are having a boy or girl.

  6. Congratulations!! Warning!!! At our 12 week visit I remember pressing the ultrasound tech and Dr for the sex. He was hesitant but they both told us we were having 2 girls. I was slightly depressed for 4 weeks. As you know they were wrong x 2!! But you are having a boy.

For real we are so happy for you. And we have hella baby stuff saved. You are welcome to any of it cause we are DONE!
